Welcome to the Suffolk Food Hall
A Top 50 Website for Christmas Food Weekend Telegraph Nov '08

Who:
As Suffolk farmers, we were frustrated that consumers had limited access to much of the fantastic food produced locally. Spurred into action by this apparent gap in the market, the concept of a showcase for quality local food with provenance began to take shape and the Suffolk Food Hall was born.

Since opening in May 2007, the Suffolk Food Hall has quickly established itself as a centre of excellence for local food. We’ve brought the best possible food specialists we could find under one roof: our own in-house and and fully-stocked free-range butchery; Crystalwaters fishmongers from Lowestoft;

Hamish Johnson cheeses from Framlingham; and Bread from local baker Helena Doy.

As well as this, we’ve got an impressive deli section, an extensive variety of local and British-grown vegetables (both fresh and frozen), fine wines from Promotion Wines in Stoke by Nayland, freshly baked cakes and biscuits, marinades, specialist oils and other gourmet goodies, plus a large selection of larder must-haves.

Where:
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty next to the River Orwell, the Food Hall is just two miles south of Ipswich and is conveniently located within minutes of the A14/A12. A printable map is available

Our mezzanine-level Samford Restaurant takes full advantage of the Food Hall’s panoramic views down the River Orwell and offers locally-sourced, seasonal food for brunch, lunch or an informal business meeting. To reserve a table, please call 01473 786 616.

How about, a hearty walk followed by a fine lunch? Download the map and book a table.

We also have a café stocked with coffee from local suppliers Paddy and Scott’s, as well as a mouth-watering array of cakes and other delicious treats.
